EMERGENCY SHELTER
ABOUT OUR Emergency Shelter

Our emergency shelter provides housing and supportive services for families and individuals experiencing the trauma of homelessness. Our shelter is open all year long and is supervised 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In order to be placed in our emergency shelter, we require a referral from the Suffolk County Department of Social Services (DSS).
If a person experiences a housing crisis after 5:00 pm during the week, anytime during the weekend, or during a Holiday please call the DSS Emergency Night Services Unit at (631) 854-9811.
Our goal is to move families from the shelter into permanent housing. Case management is provided on a daily basis for the families.

Availability varies depending on our current resident capacity. Inquiries may be directed to the DSS.
